Quality and Safety
At Northwest Health - La Porte, we’re dedicated to providing excellent care for our patients and to creating a safe work environment for our practitioners and staff. Providing quality care with a personal touch is our top priority.
Several years ago, Northwest Health - La Porte embarked on a very important journey of becoming a High Reliability Organization (HRO). The premise of an HRO is to ensure quality and safety for every patient we care for. To further our commitment to be an HRO, we have shared our CMS Hospital Compare 5 Star information here.
One of our many priorities is the reduction of patient falls. Read about our approach and see some of our data from summer 2021 here.

Tell Us About Your Experience
Providing quality care with a personal touch is the ultimate goal of the staff at Northwest Health - La Porte. Listening to our patients and their families allows us to make decisions that serve our patients and communities better.
Whether your experience is excellent or you have a concern regarding all care and services provided, we welcome your feedback. Please call the hospital operator who will connect you with a supervisor who can best assist you.
You may also receive a telephone call to survey you about your experience after your stay. We hope you will share your thoughts with us so we can continue to provide safe, quality care.
Hand Hygiene
One of the many quality initiatives central to the quality care our hospital provides is hand hygiene. Our efforts include ongoing education for every colleague and frequent monitoring to track our success or opportunities for improvement. Our hand hygiene efforts are based on a clear commitment from our chief executive officer, chief nursing officer and chief medical officer.
