La Porte High School Chorale to fill Family Chapel for First Friday program

2/3/2016 (La Porte, IN) - More than 30 La Porte High School Chorale group members are slated to fill the La Porte Hospital Family Chapel for the next First Friday in the Chapel, at noon, Feb. 5, at La Porte Hospital, 1007 Lincolnway, La Porte. The program is free and open to the public, and anyone is welcome to bring a lunch.
This talented group, under the direction of Thomas Coe and accompanied by Jane DeVries, will fill the chapel with music from beloved composers. On the docket are: Haste Thee, Nymph by G. Handel; I Am Not Yours by D. Childs; and Boatmen Stop by M. Gray. The student ensembles will include Gather Ye Rosebuds; Riding Song; Take, O Take Those Lips Away; How Lovely Is They Dwelling Place; Hark! The Vesper Hymn is Stealing; Waiting For The Light to Shine, from “Big River; and Praise His Holy Name by K. Hampton. If time permits, the group may throw in a tune from Scrooge: Thank You Very Much.

The First Friday in the Chapel series offers outstanding musical performances each month. The program is free, and attendees are welcome to bring a lunch.
