When you choose to have your baby at Northwest Health - La Porte, you’re choosing to have the comforts of home in an advanced hospital setting. You’re choosing knowledgeable, board-certified obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners, as well as trained nurses and lactation consultants - all dedicated to keeping Mom and baby as healthy as possible.
The Birth Center at Northwest Health - La Porte is located on the fourth floor and beautifully decorated with hardwood-colored floors and soothing, natural colors. The center features:
- Centralized security monitoring system for infant safety
- Eight spacious, hotel-like suites for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum - two outfitted with specially designed labor tubs
- Private bathroom and showers
- One family refreshment center
- Two medical observation/examination rooms
- Foldout couches for a support person
- International board certified lactation consultant & certified lactation counselors to provide breastfeeding support
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
The significant other or support person may visit anytime, day or evening. Visitation hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all others.
